Lonely: Who, Me?

June 27, 2019 Leave a Comment

Search anywhere on the social media and you’d be forgiven for thinking the problem of loneliness has been solved.

We can all get followers and friends, and endless amounts of: likes!

But when was the last time you ‘smiled out loud‘ face to face with someone? (and not let an emoji do it for you)?

Scientific research has found that carrying around a feeling of loneliness can inhibit the ability to mimic smiling in the real world. Without these positive social interactions, the negative feelings of loneliness can persist.

Whilst there might be times when we actively crave, and deal well with our solitude, what about when a life event happens, and we can’t deal with being alone?

Actively seeking support – continuous support and not just a like button. Remembering that relying on instant gratification is just that: instant and short lived.

Finding measures to actively Identify and accept what is making us feel so separate and alone can be the first step in alleviating negative feelings of loneliness, for a healthy and fulfilled life.

Contacting coaching.care you open the chance of connecting to people who have themselves overcome similar problems. Helping you to find real understanding and align yourself with more positive thoughts and feelings.

Share your differences today or connect via the forum as the first step to obtaining understanding.

Because, paradoxically, we are all the same; connected by what makes us different.
